"Pros: super economical and practical, picked this hotel bc of price and decent reviews! Overall, very clean room and bathroom, great big fridge and working microwave. Beds were clean and comfortable. 15 min north of all the hot tourist spots of Monterey Bay region, food Mexican restaurants nearby, and one minute away from Wal Mart and other stores which really helped since we have kids. Front desk was kind. Would stay here again. Con: few fruit flies in the drain of main sink. Not sure why,...

"Asked for a ground floor room, away from street noise and we got it! This is a superior property, with good customer service. We'll stay here rather than properties further down the 5. We've stopped staying at several Motel 6 properties (Carlsbad, Button Willow, Oceanside) because of bad treatment and maintenance issues. I always call to confirm a ground floor room, for we senior citizens, and when one of us gets there, they haven't honored the written or verbal request. Or their promise!...

"Easy check-in. Room smelled and looked clean. Room was roomy in spite of the king size bed. For the most part, our stay was quiet with the exception of a very loud altercation early one morning. We would like to suggest having a place to hang our clothes.. We plan to stay again at Valley Inn."

"It was a nice place to stay for the night at a good price. The guy at the front desk was kind as well. My only complaint is that the room smelled like cigarette smoke and it was a non smoking room. I smoke so it didn’t bother me much but it was listed as a non smoking room. Other than that the room was pretty clean."

"This home was perfect for our get together with longtime friends. The beach location was wonderful and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. It’s a condo unit towards the back of the property and we were able to negotiate the road in the dark. I had trouble with the access code, user error no doubt but the owner checked to ensure we were in. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. I would recommend this comfortable, nice home on the beach!"
