"The check in lady was so sweet, and the room was very nice for an aging property. Our only real issue was that the dog park area was not well kept - there was damage to part of the fence and people didn't clean up after their pups, so it wasn't safe to turn our puppy loose or play with her off leash."

"Perfect location in Helen. We didn’t have to worry about paying for parking downtown as it was a quick 3-5 min walk. Staff was 10/10 and continental breakfast was some of the best I’ve had at a hotel! Clean rooms! Will stay here again when visiting Helen. "

"Hotel was in good location to restaurants, etc. Unfortunately, hotel was a little shabby & not very clean. Shower had caked on soap scum on glass. The room stunk of bodies, and the mattress was very worn. There were splatter stains on paint behind the toilet - don't even want to know - and one of the elevators did not work. Parking was very limited near the entrance. There was parking behind the hotel but you had to walk up a hill to get to an entrance. "

"Look, the shower head leaked and the room could use a DEEP clean. The real issue was the day manager, he was WONDERFUL. HIS NAME IS JIM. Professional,knowledgeable, charming.because of Jim we will be back."

"There is nothing more relaxing than walking into a cabin and noting how clean and well-apportioned the place is. From making our reservation to our stay to our eventual departure, the hosts made sure we were well taken care of, and that care allowed us to enjoy the Helen GA area...the shops, restaurants, sights, local trails, and other attractions. The cabin is set back from a creek, has a firepit and picnic table to enjoy, and is just a short walk to the center of town. Our stay was filled with relaxing mornings sitting on the veranda, sipping a cup of coffee or tea, and just watching the day wake up before heading out to investigate the area. Then heading back to the cabin for evening musings and puzzle assembly. It made it hard to leave and if we are ever in the area again, this woodsy cabin will be our number one choice. Thanks for having us."
