"Lovely hotel - doesn't look that impressive from the approach road, but lovely inside - the dining room is particularly nice with large windows looking over the valley. Excellent location as very close to Gullfoss - around 5 minutes drive. Staff were lovely at reception and in the restaurant. Food - both dinner and breakfast - were very good, with a good selection at breakfast. Room was nice - twin beds as requested, clean and warm and with a nice view over the valley. I stupidly left my Kindle behind and have since been liaising with the hotel who are going to mail it back to me - very kind! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. "

"Excellent stay for a couple. Hot tub was amazing. Got to see the northern light from the hot tub. Great cottage, clean and fully stocked with all necessary essential. Only issue which many have commented on was the shower which leak waters underneath. Easy fix with sealant. Overall amazing stay and highly recommended. "

"Comfortable, clean, perfect stay if you want to visit the Laurgavatn Fontana (and geothermal bakery) Comfortable beds, simple but plentiful breakfast. No hair dryers in the rooms, but friendly staff will gladly provide you with one if asked. Would love to come back and stay a little longer than just one night! "

"This property has a very nice, convenient restaurant with great food. The staff is very welcoming and the bar is open very late. They provided use of robes for the hot tub. The room was very clean and bigger than a few other places with a nice closet. The bathroom was spacious. We had our own door that led out to the hot tub area. The only room for improvement would have been that the key to the room does not unlock the door to the room from the hot tub area so you either have to prop the door open or find the door that leads into the hallway to get back to your room. Don’t leave your key in your room unless you prop the door open. There is some light pollution in this area from the local greenhouses. It was a great location to visit the Golden Circle and the Secret Lagoon. We would stay here again. "
