If you are using the Gatwick express this is also perfect location. Lovely to actually stay with breakfast included. So much choice in a beautiful restaurant. "I try to stay at the Mitre House on all my trips through London. The location is excellent, yet far enough away from the busy streets so you don't hear much traffic noise. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is very good."

"The Tudor Court Hotel (TCH) was a great place to stay. It was a block from Paddington station and a ten minute walk to Hype Park. Location is excellent for catching the Tube or Heathrow Express. Many restaurants and pubs in the area. Little Venice was a nice canal walk with bars and restaurants. The TCH was clean and had everything you need.
