"Fabulous historic hotel with some truly wonderful and giving staff. From the “bellhops”, bar and restaurant staff to the concierge nothing was too much trouble for them. Balcony room looking over the pool quite small for two with luggage, but it is an old building. Only letdown were a couple of miserable receptionists on our last day. Rude, unhelpful and obviously did not want to be there. Everything seemed like a bother to these particular two, spent a lot of time on the phone and ignored everyone else when doing so, not even an acknowledgment you were there or a smile. Such a shame a simple thing like this can spoil a fabulous hotel in, what is for us, a once in a lifetime trip. "

"It felt very old-fashioned (like I was living in the early 1900s, which is a great thing). Wooden floors were very clean and the balcony view was nice! I did not like the fact that there was no cable tv service, presumably because it was limited on which room I booked. Nonetheless, it was a good experience."
