"Amazing beautiful place in the country side of Uxmal. Beautiful resort and very quiet. The only bad thing was the bar tender was a bit of an ass, every other worked was super polite and willing to help you out for whatever you need. "

"The Pickled Onion was hands down the best place we stayed in the Yucatán. The accommodations were lovely, the food delicious, the pool area clean and relaxing and the owner and staff incredibly friendly and helpful "

"Our room run out of water and that was very unpleasant. They allowed us to use another one from another room, but that was not comfortable. We spent two nights there. There was not cleaning service for the room"

Close enough to perfect. To be perfect.

"Honestly this place is incredible. Beautiful setting, beautiful rooms and buildings. The hotel has been open for 8 years, so there is a little bit of wear, but everything maintained very well. The rooms are big and very nice. The spa is lovely. And particular shout out to Monse who ran the yoga and fitness classes in the morning. Wonderful way to start the day, all orchestrated perfectly. The food at the two restaurants is excellent. Breakfast is great too. Bar and lunch service round the pool is super attentive. All bar drinks were generally very good, and the music throughout the place creates a Great atmosphere. In addition to all this they have a beautiful golf course and Padel and tennis. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try all those ….. We have stayed in lots of nice places round the world, this place has got it really right…. Could not have better memories of our visit. "

"Comfortable large units with two double beds. Great breakfast included but dinner was simple with few choices. Limited restaurants in the town. Communication was limited--no map of area and no receipt for cash payment. Walked on short trail that had no signage or map and ran into what looked like an old Mayan stone house."

A sweet place

"The Mayan style of cabins added atmosphere. The grounds were well maintained with greenery and flowers. The pool was clean and the grounds provided a comfortable place to relax or have a snack. The restaurant's food was the best we had in the Yucatan. Our waiters were attentive and efficient. Our room was comfortable although the toilet button sometimes got stuck, so we had to be mindful of not having the toilet run. The owners was wonderful and offered suggestions and recommendations. We would go back for sure. It was a short drive to all the sites we wanted to visit - historic sites and town. Bring cash to pay for the room and meals. "

Lodge in a natural paradise ideal for Uxmal

"The Lodge at Uxmal is a special place just outside the entrance to the archeological site so ideal for staying at to see the sound and light show at night. The room was comfortable and clean with nice bedding and the place is set amongst trees so there are abundant birds and nature all around. Really lovely. It also has a very nice restaurant so is a great place to base exploring the Ruta Puuc from."
