"Very impressed with this 2 star hotel. Rooms were comfortable and quiet even facing out onto Las Ramblas. Facilities were great, a fridge in the room and also toothbrush and toothpaste provided in the bathroom. Breakfast was good quality and reasonable amount of choice. They also stored our bags for us all day after we checked out. We couldn't beat the price and were very happy with everything we got "

"The grand high Barcelona is definitely an excellent hotel with excellent service. There are a few things I didn't like about it. There's not a lot of restaurant around the area. The ice machine was not working. I was charged €93 it's a good thing. I was checking my credit card when I asked them. They told me that it was a mistake and they will credit me back the amount. The lady manager was great very accommodating, but the male manager Christian wasn't very accommodating to us. Housekeeping also was an issue. I found that every day I was calling for tissue or towel that they forgot to replace but overall a very nice hotel. Would I stay there again definitely Yes!!"

"It's a very nice, old art deco hotel situated close (a couple of blocks) to La Rambla and Catalunya Plaza, the latter of which is a transportation hub, making it an excellent base for exploring Barcelona by foot and metro and for easily getting to and from the airport. They have a rooftop solarium, which we imagine was quite nice, but it was closed at 10 PM when we tended to return to our room, so we didn't see it."
