"Hotel Victoria is around a 3 minute walk from Glion station (cog train from Montreux train station which takes around 12 mins). Stunning views from our lakeside room. Room 3 has an interconnecting door to Room 2 and is not particularly well soundproofed. Due to health issues with our neighbour, little sleep was had on the first night. However, staff were able to move us to a different room for our second night which was appreciated. Hotel and restaurant were full on Christmas Eve. I was surprised to find a lot of young children in the restaurant and lounge running around. With hot plates coming out of the kitchen and elderly clientele with potential mobility issues, it made me nervous and was an accident waiting to happen. On my way out, a child slid past my feet on her belly head first, only stopping an inch or two away from a glass door. No effort as far as I could see that staff or parents were containing the situation. It felt a bit unruly given the fine dining experience at CHF 180 per person. I would have liked to have seen either some form of intervention from staff to remind parents to keep an eye on their children or for there to have been a limit of say, aged 12 and above in the restaurant. Having said all of that, I cannot fault the staff who were attentive, accommodating and friendly. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Overall, a lovely stay. "

"This is a fabulous property and well-deserving of its 4 stars. Sadly, I came when the fog had descended on the area so I couldn't see the stunning views, but I have been to the area numerous times and know they are breathtaking. I loved that the Epesses train stop was 3 minutes from the hotel (be aware there are a lot of steps to get there). I had to talk with the front desk several times for personal reasons and they were nothing short of magnificent and helpful. The place was so clean and had lots of lovely space to breathe. I highly recommend this hotel. "
