"The hotel is very well place for those wishing to explore the city. Little India and Chinatown are fairly close and that's a relief as there are no alcohol sales in the hotel for thirsty guests. This is not mentioned on any site to our knowledge. "The hotel is a bit old. The location is a bit off the center of George Town but still walkable if you don't mind. The swimming pool is on the small side. The rooftop restaurant is great. You can see the whole Geroge Town almost. There is a big night food court right next to the hotel where you can get all kinds of food for dinner. "

"Comfortable and good size room but a/c was a bit too powerful. Super shower in the bathroom. Had a turn-down service on the first night, which was a lovely throwback, but didn't happen on the following nights. Very comfy bed. Service at the bar was good, didn't eat in the hotel. Room was supposed to be sea view - and to be fair, it was, but there was a huge construction project with masses of land...

"Great iconic hotel - good value overall - we stayed in the Victory wing and the rooms are spacious and we preferred to the heritage section. Service was polite, not overbearing and the hotel had a nice relaxed feel. Lovely infinity pool. Breakfast catered adequately fif every taste. "
