The house is beautiful and the location cannot be more perfect, being right on the lake with a deck to enjoy the serenity of the views. It snowed the day we arrived and that multiplied to the charm (even though it meant we could spend less time outdoors). Amenities are thoughtfully provided. The only negatives, minor in nature, were that some furniture/beds were in worn out condition and at risk...

"Here for the week of Thanksgiving. Property just as pictured, communication with owner was perfect. Everything you need for cooking your on meals is stocked in the kitchen. We used the Blackstone on the deck often. Ate dinner at the Waterside a couple nights the food there is excellent. Sat on the dock watched the sun sets. Would book again."

"I can't comment because we didn't stay there. Expedia was supposed to book us at a hotel in Emporia, KANSAS, NOT the Knight's Inn in Emporia, VIRGINIA. The hotel in Kansas that Expedia booked us at (and sent us a confirmation for at the Kansas location) had gone out of business, thereby necessitating us to book a hotel on our own in Emporia, Kansas. "Our family and friends enjoyed a relaxing weekend on Lake Gaston. Beautiful views from the home, outdoor space, and dock. The home was clean and the neighborhood was very peaceful! The yard was a fantastic layout for hide-and-seek and capture the flag! "
