"It is a nice peaceful resort. The staff especially in the resurant and pool side was so nice and friendly. The main drawback with this resort is it's not a good place during rainy season as it's on the bank of estuary. As the river water comes with force during rainy season the sea is muddy and cannot swim or play in the sea. The next thing is that the staff in the reception have no answer for anything you ask. "Property is a nice place. The service was very slow and bad. Checked in and was told there is a power failure, power will be up in 20mins and after an hour, power is not up yet. Checked in the room for stay with my sister, was only given one bath towel in the room. There is no amenity (shower gel n shampoo) TOP up on day 2. When we went to the pool and the beach, ask for pool/beach towel and was told they have run out of beach towel, ask for bathe towel instead and never arrive. Wifi was very...

"We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved."

"Not clean. Internet very bad. Owner said she would not purchase more gigabytes that I was downloading. I told her I wasn’t. Then said I was watching too many videos. There wasn’t a tv for the evening so I did watch some videos but I have never had this problem when I have booked with Expedia at any other property. "Stunning property in Galle Fort. With only 4 rooms it feels very exclusive. The pool view room was huge and the balcony was a great spot for relaxing and watching the monkeys playing in the trees. The staff are superb and the pool (not common in local hotels) is an added bonus when temperatures get too hot. Perfectly situated for the landmarks, shops and sea I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Would certainly choose this hotel if coming back to Galle "

"The Galle Fort Hotel is a truly lovely boutique property set within the walls of Galle Fort. We stayed in the Grand Apartment room which was gorgeous with fabulous furnishings. The Bar and lounge areas are both lovely and the pool, loved the tiling, was a must to cool off. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was great, wasn't keen on their coffee bean but other than that faultless. All of the Staff are lovely however Shalimar stood out he was always there when needed, extremely helpful and a great character. "

"We had such a pleasant stay at this property. It was so calm and serene. With a stunning view of the fort. There's a small safe area to swim in the ocean as the rest of the sea is quite dangerous. A nice warm pool that offers the same view and peaceful vibe. The dining option for us was a paid dinner that had authentic Sri Lankan food. It wasn't short of any flavour and they did not cut corners - this is coming from a Sri Lankan. The next time I come from Canada and need to visit Galle. I will stay here again without hesitation"
