"This property was centrally located to access the wonders of Galle Fort, but set in a quiet lane away from the main foot traffic. The Courtyard and entry to the property burst with colour and wonderful scents. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast options were the best we came across in Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean but moderate in size with limited space for large luggage."

"Taru Villas on Rampart Street is an unbelievably wonderful property to stay in. The bedroom and architecture are simply stunning. The staff are fantastic. We stayed on HB basis… the evening meal was amazing… truly amazing. This boutique hotel is one of the best anywhere in the world… an absolute must visit."

"This is a generally excellent hotel. No more on that need be said. You won't be disappointed. Except that the breakfast tea is terrible. There is just one thing that we noticed on our last day. Breakfast is from 7am, our taxi was a 0730, a fairly typical departure time with either a flight or busy day scheduled. So, any hotel guest who is there right on 7am is likely to be on a short timescale. The hotel should recognise this, and the staff should be aware. It felt like nobody was really interested in offering any service until it was too late. No shortage of politeness and smiles! - just glacially slow service until someone got the message and barked a few orders."

"Its an old building refurbished into a modern, sleek hotel. Conveniently located within the ramparts of the Galle Fort, its super comfortable, with luxury shower products and impeccable service. Loved the breakfast!! They managed to go out of their way to get my laundry done on time for our train!! 10/10 will stay here again!"

"Review of Villa White Queen Hotel The service at Villa White Queen Hotel was absolutely fantastic, without a doubt among the best I have ever experienced. The receptionist showed incredible care for the guests and ensured that our stay was as smooth and comfortable as possible. Despite arriving very early, at 9:30 in the morning, they prepared our room while we had breakfast so we could check in right away, get a few hours of sleep, and then enjoy the rest of the day exploring Galle. The rooms at the hotel were spacious, clean, cozy, and equipped with excellent air conditioning, as well as a fantastic bathroom and shower. The garden was lush and well-maintained, with a lovely pool where we could relax. Being able to enjoy breakfast and have a drink by the pool made the stay even more memorable. In summary, our stay at Villa White Queen Hotel was an incredible experience, and I can warmly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Galle! "
