"The hotel has a great view and its garden is connected to the beach. Friendly owner offered nice breakfast everyday. The owner’s friend comes to offer yoga, massage and diving. problem is the narrow and busy street next to it, making the place too noisy to have a relaxing sleep. "

"The house has a good location, easy to access the beach. The owner is super kind and helpful, we are vegan and asked for a vegan breakfast, they made every day different options and lots of fruits. So well done. The location provides a good view to the sea, and there are a lots of wild animals, also visiting the garden. It's also an experience. Overall its a good place."

"Wir wurden sehr herzlich von der Besitzerfamilie empfangen und begrüsst. Das Haus bietet alles was man braucht, fehlte etwas war Nimal und seine Frau Aeysha gerne behilflich.Schöner gepflegter Garten mit Blumen und Bäumen, manchmal schauten die Affen vorbei und sprangen von Baum zu Baum, sehr schön zum beobachten. Das Haus liegt etwas abseits im Dschungel, wir haben uns Fahrräder besorgt um zu unserem Lieblingsstrand zu fahren. Der Besitzer bietet aber auch Fahrten mit seinem Tuk Tuk an ....

"The staff greeted us as soon as we arrived, and they were amazing the entire time. They greeted us each morning with coffee/tea and a delicious breakfast of fruit and omelets made to order, as well as native Sri Lankan dishes. For a nominal fee they also made us some delicious dinners of different types of curries. Everything was freshly made and tasted amazing. "Very friendly staff and helpful manager. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Room (deluxe) very large and provided extra bed for kids. Short 10 min walk to galle fort. Room very clean and great housekeeping. Pool towels provided. Some minor maintenance issues could do with addressing around pool (tile grouting). "

"My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of a 6 week tour of Southern India and Sri Lanka. It's a beautiful small hotel that has retained the building's history, yet is comfortable and has modern facilities. It has an lovely calm atmosphere which was exactly what we were looking for. The staff we engaged with were all excellent and friendly. It's in a great location, right in the middle of the Fort. 10/10"

"Bartizan is locted on edge of Galle Fort. It has a rooftop with seating which has great sea views and more importantly a breeze in the swealtering heat! Breakfast amazing, with nice choices, staff supet freindly and very polite. Well worth booking a room with seaview or partial seaview rather than courtyard room ( although these are fine). Would recommend this hotel. "

Excellent Food/Setting and Accomodations

"Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend. "
