"The house is spacious and comfortable, situated in a quiet but convenient area. Avola is 5 minutes away, the motorway linking Messina, Catania, Siracusa and Gela is also a few minutes drive from the house.A car is essential. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. If we had a problem they responded immediately. As for this area of Sicily there is lots to do. Beach lovers are well catered for and there are plenty of possibilities for hikers. "We enjoyed our stay in the area. Lots of beautiful countryside and the sea in the distance. the house was great for two couples. You should be aware that a car is essential as there is nothing within walking distance. The coast is 10km down hairpin bends, hence the view! Avola and the surrounding area is lovely, much to see and many beautiful towns and villages. The need to get in the car everytime is a disadvantage, especially in the evenings."
