"We had a great time staying at Harper’s Landing. It was lovely inside and had everything we needed. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. It’s right on the river. We really enjoyed walking around the nearby Lake Elmer Thomas. It’s also very close to the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge which has many awesome trails to explore and wild buffalo to see. "

"We loved that this house sat on a hill by itself, overlooking the mountains and town of medicine park. The house itself is no frills, yet takes care of business. Yes, there is an RV parked on one side, and a trailer loaded with scrap on the other side. But this just gave us more privacy and seclusion. "

"The communication with our host was outstanding! They were there at every corner to answer questions we had about the property or the community and things to do in the neighborhood. Our greeters were a pony and a donkey! That would be one set of neighbors. The other set arrived in the morning in the form of three deer eating acorns outside the bedroom window. Although the kitchen is small, it had all of the items needed for our group, everything from stake knives to pots and pans to coffee, pods, and bottled water waiting for us on our arrival! In comparison to other properties in the area, we saved a bundle by renting this small home and enjoyed our time in Medicine Park, at the Wichita‘s, the great Plains museum, and the aquarium. When choosing a property, don’t expect the property to change to meet your groups expectations, this is exactly what we wanted, as we were not planning on living in the home, but merely gathering for meals and rest. We brought our own games, but there were games available. We brought our own camp chairs, but there were also chairs on the patio front and back for our use. We had A fantastic stay!"

"This was our second stay. We love the quietness of the property and of course the horse and donkeys. Perfect spot for a weekend or midweek getaway. It is also a great base for traveling to local attractions like The wildlife refuge and Medicine Park. Just make sure you bring extra carrots. "
