We really enjoyed walking around the nearby Lake Elmer Thomas. It’s also very close to the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge which has many awesome trails to explore and wild buffalo to see. "We loved that this house sat on a hill by itself, overlooking the mountains and town of medicine park. The house itself is no frills, yet takes care of business. Yes, there is an RV parked on one side, and a trailer loaded with scrap on the other side. But this just gave us more privacy and seclusion. "

In comparison to other properties in the area, we saved a bundle by renting this small home and enjoyed our time in Medicine Park, at the Wichita‘s, the great Plains museum, and the aquarium. When choosing a property, don’t expect the property to change to meet your groups expectations, this is exactly what we wanted, as we were not planning on living in the home, but merely gathering for meals and rest. We brought our own games, but there were games available. We brought our own camp chairs, but there were also chairs on the patio front and back for our use. We had A fantastic stay!"
