"Property was clean and tidy. Room was small. Not much room for bags. King size bed was comfy, but way too big for the room with not much room to get around on one side. Not great if you have to get up during the night. Bathroom was clean but had a strong smell of sea water. Would not stay in this style of accommodation again. "

"Given the lack of other accommodation available in Port Elliot, the rate is rather high for a Youth Hostel. Room was a bit stuffy and had to keep the window open and the fan going to get rid of the musty smell. Very small ensuite and shower."

"The location of the hotel is beautiful and serene, abundant with wildlife. The hotel itself is quite tired but you can see the potential, with a little TLC this hotel would be gorgeous. Staff were lovely and our dinner in the restaurant was delicious"
