"Don’t stay here if you’re expecting some shops around the corner. It’s 23 kilometres from the nearest town, but that’s the good thing about it. Out on a sheep station but with fabulous views over Backstairs Passage, a well equipped kitchen to cook in and a great outdoor deck area. An amble through the fields to a couple of completely private beaches. Swallows nesting in the garage. And yes there is a washing machine"

"The location and house are beautiful, we really enjoyed walking around the farm and going fishing in the lake. The owners are so welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. The house is perfect with everything you need for your stay. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Australia. "

"Mary-Anne & Chris, our wonderful hosts, left us wanting for nothing. This amazing retreat had everything. Situated on a beautiful property, every room had an amazing view. Attention to detail makes this retreat stand out from the rest. Perfect location to all the premium Adelaide Hills wineries, just difficult to leave the house as the gardens & scenery is hard to leave for any length of time. I can’t recommend this holiday getaway enough. The pictures on Stayz do not do it justice."

My son was able to pat working dogs and horses, feed chickens, collect eggs for his breakfast and see a horse and rider conducted cattle muster! In real life! "Wouldnt call it romantic but Loved the little setup and location. Was perfect to come back chill out & cool off after the day on the river had excellent air conditioner with room to put our Jet Ski undercover and locked away for the night. Is 10minutes from the main town, Waikerie and 2ks from Ramco. Would suggest a TV in the main room, as we had a weekend of 40degress and was unable to sit in the designated lounge area, although it was very nicely set out. Also A few extra kitchen cooking...

"Property was peaceful with plenty of room to move about the house & property. We could all move around the property & all came together as a family for meals on one dining room table. Fantastic location. Country feel but close to shops. "

"The house is beautiful and in a perfect location. It is huge and has a high end kitchen and the master bedroom is a dream! The gardens are lovely and it is well set up for a dog. On the negative side, it needs some maintenance. The lights shorted out, the toilet in the master bedroom ran continuously, and the water had to be turned off after the cistern had filled. "Very impressed with our stay. Everything was provided, very clean and comfortable. Suggest that the information folder is left in a very visible spot and maybe include more information about walking trails for those who are not there to 4wd.an enjoyable stay"
