"This hotel was great and an excellent price point! I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Kyoto and save on accommodations. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with tons of options. The hotel feels like a large operation and staff are moving people through, but taking your shoes off makes it feel more homey. The room was much more spacious than other rooms we experience in Japan. Super clean. It was close to Kyoto station, but not close to anything else we wanted to do/see/eat in Kyoto. Proximity to the station made it easy to get around, though! "

"The hotel itself was great. It's located in a quiet part of Kyoto, and is equal distance between two stations for different train lines (Gojo and Kiyomizu-Gojo). There's a 24-hour supermarket close by, which was convenient. The staff were great and the room was clean, tidy and felt spacious. The only downside is that there were only 3 washing machines for the whole hotel and they were constantly in use. But otherwise, the experience was great."

"We stayed at the Cross Hotel during our recent trip to Japan in October 2024. Everything was amazing! The property is clean, friendly and accommodating staff, and the location was perfect! The location is within walking distance to Nishiki Market and down the street from Kawaramachi Street Market. There are a huge shopping center and food hall down the street. The food hall had so many different selections of food. We will definitely be coming back to Cross Hotel for our trip to Japan in 2026."
