"Staff superb as expected for the Belmond group. Beautiful location but we knew this as we frequent Madeira each year. Very grown up hotel but unfortunately the Easter crowd started arriving with their children and the whole place changed to a very noisy uncontrollable place. "A wonderful surprise this hotel turned out to be. Loved the old world feel of the reception area in the main hotel and the pool & sea view are exceptional. The staff was so knowledgeable and took time to show us about. We had dinner included but were not able to make it so, lunch was provided for us. The breakfast buffet is the best I have seen in Portugal with eggs made to order, warm breads and wonderful fruit salad to mention a few items.
