"The hotel is well located, easy to find and close to Ithica commons and restaurants of all kinds. Our room was great - well lit, clean and quiet. Service was great. Check in and check out wonderful. Only took one Star off because we had an issue with our bathroom light switch and we asked for help but no one came. The good thing was it started working by itself after a while with some coaxing, so no harm done. Breakfast at The Strand was strictly okay, service was very slow however. It was very a pleasant surprise that they had a free shuttle to and fro from Cornell. Wonderful extra. Over all, we had a great stay at The Canopy by Hilton at Ithica and recommend it wholeheartedly. "

"I booked this hotel by mistake. I meant to book the one in Ithaca. We made the 40 minute drive here, and were glad we did. When I first got the key and our room number, my heart sank. First floor, right by the lobby and ice machine. But our room was very nice. It had a spacious bathroom and a sitting room separate from the bedroom and divided by French doors. The parking lot does not go around the building and our room backed to open space. The noise in the hallway was not an issue. It wasn’t very loud, and we had the French door to close and there was a fan between the two rooms that provided white noise. We slept quite well. "

"Staff was great,new restaurant started, only issue I had my desk light,didn't work no power, maintenance worker not there, they loved my service dogs, ate 3 meals,Fri fish fry was great,"
