"This property is extremely well cared for. The landscaping and home are absolutely gorgeous. The deck and window doors allow for a comfortable “outdoor” experience even when it rains. The hot tub was a fantastic added bonus for the cooler evenings. Loved the location as well."

"We visited the big island for a week and stayed here for the entire time. The house is a short drive to Hilo, and Volcano National Park is only 5 minutes away. Communication with the owner was prompt with easy to follow instructions to get to and access the property. The house itself is the second story of a two level home with access via outdoor stairs. We did have some reservations about the home having an unexpected occupied main level with rambunctious kids along, but we did not receive any...

"The Thomas Guard house is a gem in Hilo. The location is perfect - not in the middle of the city but close enough to walk to local restaurants. The beautiful grounds, the waterfall, the river running through the backyard, they all added to the charm. The house is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Charlotte has thought of all the details to make this a wonderful place to stay. It was a perfect way to unwind from an otherwise busy life. "

"The property was absolutely amazing. We saw whales multiple times just looking out the front windows around 10:30 a.m. The people who take care of the property were wonderful and very helpful. They thought of everything when it comes to this property. We will definitely be coming back. Thankyou to the family that owns the property and maintains it. This trip was truly a blessing. "Beautiful respite in the rainforest just a few minutes away from Volcanoes National Park. We loved the huge green tree ferns and the flowers surrounding the property, giving it a private fantasy feeling, just like the pictures on the website. We loved the jacuzzi amongst the moss and ferns. We enjoyed the sounds of the many frogs and birds."

"We spent 2 nights at Hilo in this cute rental. It had a fridge microwave and coffee maker but cannot cook a meal in this unit as does not have a kitchen. We were aware of this and we were not planning to cook.This unit is modern and clean and quiet. The town of Hilo seems to have a lot of rundown areas and homelessness. That said we loved the Farmers market and waterfalls. The weather was sunny and beautiful. This rental was nice and the neighborhood felt safe."

"We had an amazing stay at this spacious two-story, five-bedroom house in the Panaewa area of Hilo. The home was incredibly roomy, with plenty of space for our group, and we appreciated all the modern appliances and thoughtful amenities provided. The quiet neighborhood made it a perfect place to relax, and the location was excellent—close to local businesses, fantastic restaurants, and easy access to outdoor activities.
