"I thought the hotel property was very nice plus the location was amazing being so close to the restaurants and shops. I'm from Iowa City so it was nice to be able to stay somewhere familiar. The pool/pool area was a little small but the hot tub was great and my kids did enjoy the pool. Breakfast had a lot of options but was very busy. Our room was perfect for the 6 of us and even had room for a few friends to hang out since we were celebrating birthdays."

The architect and designer did an amazing job of incorporating elements from the buildings past life into its new one. The decor of various equipment and machinery from its milling days remind you of its rich history. As someone who once worked in textiles, it was like a walk back through time. "Overall a lovely hotel. I had one issue. The desk in my room had clearly not been cleaned since the last guest. Hopefully just an oversight and not an indication of normal cleaning standards."

"Hotel was really nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that the windows desperately need to be cleaned. The exterior of all windows were filthy and covered with spiders. I’m assuming this was a seasonal issue, but definitely needs to be addressed "
