"I spent a week at Cumbria Park at a difficult family time. I was made part of the family by everyone, which made it easier to cope! I can’t thank everyone enough for their interest and support. "This is a really, really lovely hotel. It is a little bit of a step back in time, but in a lovely way. A really grand building that has been well kept whilst it is still possible to imagine how grand it would have appeared to people when first built. It made me smile whenever I was walking around it. I was there on business, but Carlisle seems like a very interesting place ... I will be back to both Carlisle and the Crown and Mitre!"

"Room was nice and clean "

"Stayed for 2 nights with my 84 year old mum for a girlie few days away. Our room was at the back courtyard of the inn (I think that’s where they all are). So easy access for mum. Parking close to the room. Room was spacious with modern decor and en-suite bathroom. Hosts were chatty without being intrusive. Breakfast both days and the evening meal we had were delicious and more than ample servings. It’s a quirky inn with loads of character. The bar area is in keeping with the age of the inn. Great few days. Would highly recommend. "
