"First time staying at the Sheraton in Ottawa, amazing location. Close by to restaurants (walking distance) like Nates Deli, Bier Market, A&W and others nearby, the Sasha Lounge which is inside the hotel is a great choice to eat in if you choose to not go out. Quiet area during the winter not sure in the summer/spring, Transit is nearby, parking at the hotel is available but only valet option which isn't terrible I thought the price was the usual. Rooms are spacious and also service was amazing, steaming options (Netflix, Amazon) builtin to connect to the tv, was able to connect to a fire stick. House keeping for room clean up is available daily. Overall fantastic location to walk around and be 5mins away from Parliament and 15-20mins walk to get to Byward Market. "

"While I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and have had several pleasant stays at the Westin Ottawa over the years, we were very disappointed in our stay in January 2025, especially after having paid over $400 for the room. These were the issues: - Shower did not drain - about 2 inches of water remained after shower - Bed sheets were not tucked in and would uncomfortably bunch up - Only 2 coffee creamers (we did get more when we asked) - No plug-ins at bedside tables (plug was behind headboard) - 3 plug-ins on the desk are loose and a fire hazard! - TV reception was poor and blacking out - Toilet paper holder location is very awkwardly behind/beside the toilet - Only one robe and one set of slippers in closet - Pillows were very soft and uncomfortable with no other options provided - No Kleenex refill box - blue sheets were already showing when we arrived - it had been my understanding that I had booked a room with a view of the canal/Parliament where I have been several times before when booking a premium room, but we were on the other side of the hotel, and were advised we would have to pay even more money to upgrade to such a room."
