"This resort is in a beautiful cliff side location with rocky beach access and a beautiful pool and restaurant overlooking the sea and pool. Villa rooms are sea front. The property shows its age. Our villa was well equipped and nicely decorated with a vintage look. Renovation should be in its future, everything was in working order during our stay. We would stay again. The included breakfast is prepared to order "

"We stayed here the night before our ferry trip to Koh Samui. We arrived late and left early, but we wished we spent more time here. The restaurant has a stunning setting and the beach looked very swimmable. We hear that you can sometimes see pink dolphins swimming right in the bay. There are no other guesthouses nearby so a walk down the street feels like you are really in Thailand, not farang- land. The owner was very friendly and drove us to the ferry pier for 500 baht. "

"It was convenient as we needed just a night somewhere near the Donsak Pier. Staff was lovely and got on her bike to buy us dinner. But there was a cockroach and ants in the bathroom, and the towels looked a little off colour!"

"Me and my partner had an amazing stay at Rockys. We did have an issue of construction happening above our room and stones falling onto us on the balcony but we was swiftly moved into another room which did not have this issue once reported. The resort is immaculate and picturesque with a great vibe. It would be good if prices shown included tax on the menu as its not ideal to constantly have to calculate but its a minor point. Food was also great at the hotel, there is also a great lunch spot that is great value a short walk away that is on the michelin guide. Would highly recommend for a couples stay."

"We almost didn't want to leave the property. It was so beautiful and relaxing to just hang at pool, bar, beachfront swimming area and restaurant. The staff was amazing (especially Oh (who enthusiastically greeted us, provided daily oversight of all staff, cleanliness and ambiance of poolside, bar and activities). We also particularly enjoyed the friendly bartender - Win. He was always smiling and enthusiastic. Although we don't know the names of the housekeepers for our rooms; they created a fantastic arrangement of beautiful flowers and towel art! These special touches (including a scented candle lit in our room upon arrival) were awesome! "

Great stay but room for improvement

"Positives: Great stay in a villa. Very close to the pool & view of Gulf of Thailand. Breakfast was very good, service was excellent. Location is great away from the party strip. Negatives: should be no shirt, no shoes, no service in restaurant; no dogs in restaurant; 1 out of 2 coffee machines worked; after 30 mins belongings should be removed from pool loungers as people reserve then leave; as smoking of all types is permitted there should be a designated smoking area. "

"The staff were friendly and helped us several times. They booked two fun excursions for us. The onsite restaurants is outdoors under a roof right in the beach. The food was very tasty and affordable. The front office/reception desk is open 7 am to 7 pm only, so be careful not misplace your room key. You could end up sleeping on the beach! Not the worst thing that could happen, I suppose. It is beautiful there."

"Overall the Resort is very good, quite area, Staff and services are superb, the employees are always gentle and kind, they help in exceptional ways, the shuttle bus driver is a very nice and helpful person. Breakfast was ok but missing decaffeinated coffee and soy milk or others vegetable milk and not many choices for vegetarian people. The resort is quite far from Chewang area but that is totally fine because the area is very beautiful and the resort offers the free shuttle bus many times during the day. For sure a Resort in Koh Samui that I recommend. "
