"Just good alround stay at the hotel."

"Lovely room and friendly staff. Good food in restaurant. Although we new we were staying above a busy pub on a Saturday night and expected some noise but not a DJ night. It sounded that his speaker's were right under our room so no sleep because of the noise until very late."

"Good stay for one night although the room was right on the roadside so some traffic noise particularly annoying in the early morning. Good food, dinner and breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful."

"Typical climbers pub and accomodation. Stone floors fire and decent pub grub. Best pint ofGuinness for a long time. Rooms basic and dogs allowed. Wush we brought hours. Decor is quirky downstairs in pub and even worse in bedroom but the facilities are there. I did not mind it upstairs, lived it downstairs."

"The room was as you would expect for the money. The major disappointment was the lack of a blind for the skylight which meant the room was very light until quite late and then again from early, a nightmare for trying to get children to sleep."

"We enjoyed staying at this traditional inn and meeting the lovely people who run it. It felt like such a genuine, honest, real place - somewhere we could relax and breathe easily, in contrast to the massive chain hotel we had just been staying in in Liverpool, where sheer numbers of guests led inevitably to a dehumanized, mass-produced feel. Here we were real people in a real place eating real food and sleeping in a real room with character and personality. The towels were folded into the shape...

"Great pub, all the staff were really friendly and accomodating. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast (which doesn't start until 8:30am), but they were really amazing in trying to help us and they did make us a breakfast sandwich to take away which was much appreciated.The bed also was very comfortable!"

"Great find, food was very nice Staff were lovely and very helpful. Restaurant was busy so must have a good local reputation. Sat in bar after meal on some lovely leather sofas with a beer chatting with other residents. Bed was very comfortable and slept well. Breakfast great- perfect fuel for a day of hiking. We will be back the staff were so nice and welcoming Thank you"
