"It is quiet, safe and nicely situated to the beach. The food and restaurant is subpar. From the time the you place your order for food to the time you receive it, it is about an hour. The flavor and presentation of the food is very subpar. For all things considered, Sandy Haven is a great location, reasonably priced and safe. Rooms are clean, hot water for the showers and free towels for the beach. Staff is also very friendly and accommodating."

"Where do I start. Rooms are filthy. Paint on the walls are dirty. Room furniture and drawers show signs of rat and roach infestation. Poor security, broken lock on door to balcony. Water backs up in the shower stall. The bed linens looked like they were borrowed out of the Crimean war. I was served rotten fish in the onsite restaurant and was still charged for it. While the hotel is located on the main road it was not easy to be located due to poor signage. The stairs and hallway is poorly...

"First time staying here. We liked the property, nice lush gardens, nice layout to the hotel/bar/restaurant. The bar was quiet, no one but us there. The bartender made us some of the best drinks we’ve had anywhere in Negril. We enjoyed the sunset from the bar before going to dinner. We only stayed 1 night as we were celebrating a birthday, we have a home in the country and wanted to be at the beach. My complaints - no hot water! A trickle of water in both the faucet and shower.
