"Hotel Carlia provided us a comfortable stay for our one night in Uddevalla. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains conveniently shielded us from any of the light during midsummer. The room was clean, though a bit outdated in the bathroom. Plenty of space throughout. It would have been nice to have more climate control as it felt rather hot and humid in the room. "My wife and I are on a 3 week vacation through the capitals of the north. Of all the accommodations we have had, including a cruise, this was by far the best. "I loved staying at the property- a great location in the middle of Östermalm but it was so quiet! I walked everywhere from the hotel including to and from the station. I really loved the theme of the hotel and especially Greta’s bistro where I had dinner one of the nights of my stay- the food was excellent and the staff exceptional! The only thing that was a little confusing was check in and I think that was down to the time I arrived- the reception area is a small space right next to a busy queue for the busy bar! But this wouldn’t be enough to detract from top marks. I’d stay here again any time!"
