"The location was very convenient for trips to both the coast and inside of the island, a straight shot from the airport but still quiet, safe and secluded. The property was sparkling clean, including grounds and swimming pools. 24 hrs front desk, quickly responsive to requests such as extra patio chair or ironing equipment. "We only stayed here on night but it was very nice. Great view and location. The one thing we weren’t used to was when we left the room the air conditioner went off and when you return you must remember to turn it back on, we forgot a few times and the room would get warm fast! We never stayed in a room that wouldn’t allow the a/c to stay on."

"The food at the buffet was excellent. Lots of choices. Fresh fruit and salads and a great selection of fish and meats and vegetarian options. Staff are very friendly. It is just west of Funchal so a little quieter but walked into Old Town and had a rental car to explore the island. Lots of great hiking in Madeira. I will come back!!!!"
