"Great location - super convenient for the centre of Funchal and the old town and not much of a hill to go up to it. All staff fantastic and always smiling, really good breakfast, rooms good size and like the rest of the hotel very clean and tidy, views from the roof top bar/ pool superb - it was a really good choice for us! Couple of minor comments - - the pool was really cold! In fairness it is February but the sea was warmer. - when you get out of the pool the floor becomes really slippery - the is our only real negative as this could be quite dangerous - two us slipped a bit. - the spirits in the bar are a little pricey All in all though we had a great time in Madeira and would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again!"

"I love the location by a beautiful park, in a walkable area. Good price for older charming hotel. to be clear I dont like many modern hotels with soulless modern decor. The lobby is staffed, chocolate shop out front attached. Lift to all floors from parking garage. Setup for an extended stay but lovely for the 1 night we stayed."
