"The hotel is amazing; multiple swimming pools, great private beach, friendly staff, good and quick service, food is delicious. The negatives: espresso machine at the room cost €2.5 euros per day, no water for free (only available upon check-in. The curtains can only help 80% of sunshine, next-door occupants may be heard “soft walls and it wakes you up”. "There was no coffee making facility in the room, shower was too small. Swimming pool too deep and had some green mould in the corners. You have to pay for everything even the beach towels and the small water bottles delivered to your tiny room fridge. Because of its isolated location it’s hard to get access to taxis which are very expensive. Not much do do there except the beach, but you pay extras for the deck chairs and umbrellas. "

"On our arrival we were walked to a different hotel in the middle of Cagliari, it was not explained to us at all but it became clear that they had over booked. We then stayed in a small, dark room for two nights while they got our actual room ready. This wasn't so much the issue, as the staff just totally ignoring the issue rather than addressing it... Not great. "

"The Villa was outstanding. Beautiful and spacious. We were 2 families 6 people in total and it was perfect for us. The villa is short drive away from Alghero city which is a great holiday town. You will definitely need to rent a car if you stay in this location as it's slightly remote but for us it was perfect."

"The Alma is in a great location, despite very few amenities. Beach is wonderful and an easy walk. Our stay was spoiled by apalling and loud music from the bar but blasted over the whole site - which consisted mainly of out of key solo singing and guitar over poor Pink Floyd backing tracks from about 6.00pm onwards, followed by dreadful karaoke from 9.00 to midnight. Restaurant staff unwilling to raise blinds so meals were taken in a very bust dining room in claustrophobic gloom. Otherwise we had...
