"For our 25th anniversary we chose Newport, RI for a getaway. As first time visitors, we researched options and chose the Vanderbilt because it seemed central in location and the fact there were onsite spa services and good bar. This first choice was fortunate because we then met Morgan, the lead concierge. I booked the hotel and then immediately emailed re:spa services. Morgan called within 5 minutes of my email to book our appts and then proactively offered other services, ideas, and resources....

"Alexander checked us in and was do kind and helpful!! The room is adorable and smells good. Nespresso machine in the room was perfect to go with our dessert we brought back to the room. Getting breakfast delivered to your room in the morning is the cherry on top. Thank you!"

"From the moment we pulled up to the hotel the staff was warm and welcoming. The accommodations are high end with spotless well equipped rooms, a fireplace and water view. John the valet was very accommodating and always on time. We had brunch in the beautiful restaurant with the best waiter. He took care of all ten of us, and was attentive and pleasant at all times. We had the best time and would recommend Forty One North to anyone visiting Newport. "

"Charming, well-appointed older hotel ideally located downtown. Our king room was roomy and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay here but guests should know that on weekends the karaoke bar downstairs is loud until about 2am both with with both music and drunks spilling out after closing. Bring earplugs. Also, no coffee service is provided in the room or in the lobby area."

"Very simple (but appropriately so) classical hotel...nice condition and layout...rooms good size and classically decorated yet w modern amenities...front desk staff helpful but unpolished...valet option was BIG benefit and reasonably priced...good downtown location but quiet inside hotel "
