"I arrived at midnight after a tiresome flight following an active day. I was tired and grumpy but the staff was very kind to me in the face of my irritability and I am thankful for that and apologetic for my grouchy behavior. The room was perfect and I enjoyed the rest I got before driving to the coast"

"Staff were excellent! Nathaniel, Director of food service, was so much fun and so customer focused! He was helping out everywhere! The manager at the front desk was also great but I didn't get his name. Really- all staff were excellent. They seem to really enjoy their work! Beautiful historic hotel."

"Definitely a quirky place to stay. Very much a not-hotel hotel. They took everything you probably don't like about a hotel and made it different. Mostly in a good way. Bright colors in the rooms. Rooms with character. "European quilts on the beds which are comfy and cozy, but we found they tended to slide onto the floor while sleeping. Has a very "keep Portland weird" vibe. We did notice that sound carried easily in the hotel, so not as quiet as it could be. Very little outside noise...

"Aside from my phone, not connecting to the television set so I could listen to music via Bluetooth. Everything was great. No complaints. I Drive an electric vehicle and that’s one of the reasons I chose this place. Their charger was in operable, but there are several right across the street. For those of us that drive electric cars this is not uncommon and again, also one of the reasons I chose this place, knowing that if the charger was broken, I had options I could walk from nearby. "
