"We were there for the view, and oh what a view from our window, pyramids and the Sphinx! At checkin we were welcomed as family and treated as such with every question we had. The included breakfast buffet is large and has varied options. The property is vintage and could use some spiffy-ing and the area is not as appealing as some but we knew that when booking, it’s part of the experience. "I like the name and legacy. I didn’t like the furniture that needs upgrading within 2-3 years, I didn’t like room service that needed a new menu and chef, I didn’t like the relative lack of training of staff at concierge and overall. I didn’t like being told all restaurants open until 1 am when only two were open. I didn’t like the smell of the cigar room reception. I didn’t like the Lebanese restaurant Zaitouni; it should be replaced immediately. "
