"The hotel has had a recent makeover so the room felt fresh and modern. Facilities were excellent-Importantly a long mirror, plenty of power point, comfy bed and pillows and really useful "in case you forgot" items included in the room. I was very impressed. "

"Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at The George which was the perfect location to explore the Peak District. Our room (Jane) was very comfortable, roomy and tastefully designed. It was at the front of the hotel but very well sound proofed as traffic noise was not an issue. Both the breakfast and evening meals were excellent but the true asset of the hotel are the staff. All very cheerful, polite and obviously take pride in their hotel. It was a fabulous few days and we're already planning to visit again. "

If I paid more I would expect more, but the price is good value I think! Especially given the small spa facilities. "
