"All staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and spacious. Bed was large, lovely clean, crisp bedding, thick duvet, fluffy pillows. Bathroom was large and clean, good shower over bath. Large carpark. Very convenient location, especially for Chatsworth House. "

"I spent two nights hear so saw lots of different staff and they was all amazing. I had the single room which is probably only a few inches off been a double, so great. I had two evening meals which were both fantastic and also fantastic value for money. But the breakfast is the show stopper for me. If you like a full English you will love this hotel"

"I stayed two nights in Castleton in mid-November amid some early snow which made the village and the walks around the hills stunning. But the real treat came after a long day of hiking when I was able to return to a cozy pub to have a hot meal, a pint of ale and a nice read by a roaring fire. The four-poster room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful view over the hills and fields. Meal portions were generous and very delicious, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. "Friendly staff, and food was OK. The property needs significant TLC. The terrifying stairs probably cant be fixed, but the decor could be improved, and the bedroom could be given some character."

"All good except TV in room 2. Husband needs subtitles to watch, hearing lose/ stroke. Couldn’t find anywhere in settings. I did ask for help and told someone would look at it. No one came back to me and it was just the same following day. "
