"Very large and comfortable room. The worst breakfast I’ve eaten in a very long time. All food was rock hard the hash brown disintegrated upon putting fork in could have lost teeth on the bacon, I asked for a fresh egg as those in the dish were rock hard. The pastries were incredibly unfresh and very oily. The canned fruit was nice!"

"Fab trip and a lovely house. The Ashes is a cosy and peaceful getaway in beautiful surroundings. 10 of us stayed for a birthday celebration over 4 nights, and everyone enjoyed their stay. There are a few cobwebs, like other reviews I’d seen had mentioned, but that’s to be expected in a place like this and the place was otherwise clean and comfortable.
