"A loverly village inn with great food and real ales. Very comfortable bed and room very clean. Shower was clean and they water hot. In all a very comfortable stay. We were, attending a wedding at Leez Priory which as 5 mins away. Local Chelmsford cabs serve the Leez so transport back was very easy. "

The main light was not working and there were no rubber bath mats to stand on in the shower. I was however given a bath towel to use instead. I was hoping to make use of the extra pillows in the wardrobe, but unfortunately there was a vomit-like smell in the wardrobe which had permeated the pillows. "It was a lovely gated community , safe and serene surrounded by nature . A bit far from train station though if you don’t have a car . Harold wood station is 9 minutes drive where you can catch the Elizabeth Line . The only concern was that a fob should be given to long term guests to get in and out of the main gate , that was a hassle . Otherwise I would highly recommend this stay ."
