"We had 14-day stays and it’s a great hotel. Greta location, hotel just in front of MRT entrance. Very convenient to go anywhere in Taipei. Staff are friendly, always being proactive to provide assistance. Hotel provides bottled water every day in the room. The first day we got the bottled water, we put it in the fridge. "Parts of the property is under construction so there’s noise btw 10-5pm & that’s the main reason it’s only a 4 star. I would’ve change my res but it was too late but I’m glad I didn’t. "Hotel HD Palace was a solid hotel and in a convenient area, but the rooms could use an update. We noticed some mold in the shower and sink area when we arrived. To the staff’s credit, they promptly attempted another cleaning the next day. However, they were unable to get much of it off, which points to the need for a deeper clean/room update. Great hotel, will for sure recommend

"We had 14-day stays and it’s a great hotel. Greta location, hotel just in front of MRT entrance. Very convenient to go anywhere in Taipei. Staff are friendly, always being proactive to provide assistance. Hotel provides bottled water every day in the room. The first day we got the bottled water, we put it in the fridge. Next day we saw the bottled water are in the fridge. It’s a small thing but I think this is sweet that hotel staff noticed our preference. When there were rainy days, hotel provided umbrellas for people to use. This is awesome too. Rooms are soundproof and we barely heard any other room having any sounds. "

"This hotel truly lives up to its name of being Grand! It's huge and is quite exclusive but close enough to the main part of the city. It offered a free shuttle thought the day to get to Yuanshan MRT station or you can climb down from the side of the hill the hotel is located on and reach the Jiantan MRT station. This historic hotel makes you feel like you are living like a Chinese noble and yet you also feel like you're living in a museum because of its legacy with Chiang's family. Highly recommend! "

"I have stayed at Illume Taipei many times and I continue to come back whenever I need a place to stay in Taipei. The property is modern, clean and very welcoming. It is in a great area with easy transportation and close to various venues and shopping centres. Keep up the good work and I look forward to many more stays in the future."

"I often stay in this hotel. It is clean, beautifully decorated (faux baroque paintings adorn the wall in the interiour courtyard visible from within the elevator), and conveniently located with views of the Daan Forest Park. The beds are firm and comfortable. The front desk service is excellent. "
