"We really enjoyed our stay. All of the staff were really friendly, and answered all the questions that we had. They had great selection of things to go see and do in town. The place is within walking distance to great food options. Just be aware that you would need cash for must of them. All in all, we cannot wait to return."

"Wow-very impressive. The condo was perfect for my family (wife and 3 18). We loved the location being south of San Pedro away from any crowds. The listing is accurate but honestly more beautiful. The condo was clean, spacious and being right on the water amazing. Christine did a great job organizing our flights from Belize City, arranging a taxi ride from the airport and having our golf cart delivered! We ended up being delayed landing on the island by a few hours (after dark) and Jason waited to show us around and make sure we had everything we needed. One of our bags didn’t arrive that night and Jason graciously offered to go get it at the airport the next night for us when he was taking her daughter for ice cream. I can’t say enough good things about Jason, James and Chaplin the caretaker. The grounds were immaculate! Even though there is no actual beach to wade in the water it was great to be able to relax on the lounge chairs and then just jump in off the dock and swim around. Truly amazing. We are a water family and this was key to be able to do. We had 2 days of diving, 1 day of a private catamaran charter and one half day Caye caulker/snorkeling tour and it all was perfect. We did do the gold cart ride to secret beach on one of our down days and had a great time. The ride is about 45 mins from the place but worth it if you want calm waters and relaxing! We wouldn’t hesitate coming back and staying at Sunset Beach resort again! "

"As a first time solo traveler I had some reservations about staying in a resort that’s so frequently described as romantic. I simply can’t express how much this gorgeous place and the wonderful staff exceeded my expectations. I was lucky enough to be upgraded and really appreciated the additional space although all of the rooms looked fantastic. The resort is immaculate with really comfortable places to chill out. The dining at the resort was extremely good as well and of course the views are phenomenal. But the differentiator, as so many reviews state, is the incredibly friendly warm and knowledgable staff. I’m very late writing this review and feel bad that I don’t remember the names of the folks who were especially kind and helpful. But I want to say thank you for making my vacation truly special. "

"I can’t say enough about all of the AMAZING staff at Mata Rocks!! They welcomed us and gave a tour upon arrival, which included a complementary welcome drink at the beach bar. Over our 4 night stay, they helped us arrange our golf cart rental, snorkel trip to Hol Chan, suggested dining options close by (including Robin’s Kitchen, which was a small local take out spot with the best jerk chicken!), and called to book our early morning taxi to the airport on our last day. They have recently gone through a change in ownership and the improvements are visibly ongoing and consistent. As it was outside of the main San Pedro hub, it was much quieter. We had a room that opened onto the pool deck overlooking the beach, which we loved. I highly recommend Mata Rocks and hope they are able to keep the rates affordable so that we can return. It feels like Brayan, Javier, James, and others have become friends that we want to visit again. Thank you so much, all of you! "

"Royal Caribbean staff was superb! Donna and Delia were always anxious to help me! Especially when I recieved a sting ray sting! Transporting me to medical attention was a true indication of there true concern and support to a guest when in need!! The pool bar was also another great option this resort had! Dixie along w Alberto where so generous! As well as the other staff members!! The water activity desk provided me three memorable snorkel excursions!! Eric along with Manuel, Ryan and Kasey were very professional!! I truly hope to make a return here one day!! Duncan Cooke"
