"For a small apartment, I was quite surprised to find it boasted 3 bedrooms. This little home featured everything I required for my stay--full kitchen, plus washing machine for my laundry. I was quite happy staying there, and Kristian, the owner, made sure I had everything I needed. More than just the owner, I met a new friend in Kris."

"I highly recommend Greg as a host and Villa Almendro as a comfortable place to stay in Santa Teresa. If you want to be close to the beach, shops and restaurants, without being smack in the center of town, you won't find a better location. I especially enjoyed laying in the hammock while being protected from the rain, which we expected during the green season. Very peaceful! Check in was super easy. "

"I am giving this 5 stars because the hosts were amazing and the view was phenomenal; however there are some things to note. The showers have lukewarm water (although every sink has hot water). This was very disappointing after being out on the beach and hiking all day as all we wanted was a hot shower. The water pressure was not great in the showers. "We loved this condo. Very safe and beautiful. The pool was pleasant with beautiful views. The walk to the beach is a lot of stairs but wasn’t a problem for any of my kids and we saw wildlife on the stairs including huge iguanas, frogs, butterflies, crabs, and even a raccoon looking animal. "The apartment had everything we needed to cook. We would rather do our own cooking instead of going out. Perfect for two people. Splitter kept it cool. The gas wasn’t working when we first got there, but the owner had it fixed within 15 minutes. Just for your knowledge, there is no microwave. Just a toaster oven, but we did not need it. Store right around the corner and walk to the beach across the street. "

"We stayed here for the entire month of April 2024 and enjoyed the house. During the driest and hottest month in CR, the refreshing pool and reliable AC was appreciated. Ótimo hotel

"Ótimo hotel, bem perto da praia e dos restaurantes e lojinhas de Santa Teresa. Meu quarto tinha uma varanda com vista para o mar e com um pôr do sol lindo! O café da manhã é delicioso, com muitas opções de frutas, sucos, panqueca… o time do hotel foi super atencioso e simpático. "

Great place for family vacation - as advertised.

"Went on a family vacation at Christmas. Overall, the facility was 4 star as advertised - great pool and right on the beach as advertised. The pool was cool as it was like a winding river around the area with lots of areas to sit and lounge with swim up bar and lots of servers - never an issue getting a drink. They also had activities like yoga and pool aerobics. The breakfast was really good - the bar was good - restaurants were ok for dinner, but you can easily walk to the marina where there are more choices for dinner. Only complaint I would have is that there isnt enough umbrellas for the pool and they only had 1 stand up paddle board and 2 sea kayaks for the entire facility so its a bit of a farce saying its included as part of the resort fees as they were booking them 4 days out - the owner should step it up and buy some more as the beach cove is much calmer than Jaco and great for that kind of activity. Also, its about a 10-15 drive to Jaco where the surfing is great and other activities - otherwise - great stay - would recommend."
