"Was put in the annex and it stunk of sewage, tiny bed, sink leaked, service from reception was appalling, only saving grace was cleaning staff were very polite, will never stay here again, apparently the main hotel is nicer but does not change the attitude of the staff"

"We loved staying at this hotel......as soon as we walked in it smelt clean and fresh. Its location is great.....literally 2 mins from the shops and local restaurants. We walked around till about 9pm and felt extremely safe especially with having our children with us. The light show at the Minster is a must......WOW....it was amazing! "Very central property, very convenient for visiting the city. Not quite the 5* we expected but was ok for one night. Our room was down under ground level with an interesting view over gutter pipes and it was quite noisy - both from inside and outside the hotel. We only booked one night, it is unlikely we would have stayed longer than this."
