"We came here a few years back only days after they reopened due to the fire. Then it was chaotic in the restaurants service struggled and it was an expensive mare of a weekend. This weekend we returned. The boathouse restaurant changed to La Vista. Superbly decorated and the food superb. Service on point. No noise reverberation and such a superb evening thank you to all the staff there that made it so good. 10/10 score. The Cameron grill at breakfast is a joy. Pleasant staff, buffet style and top quality food. Evening thanks to Caitlin serving us was fabulous. Thanks goes to the staff especially Caitlin for such a great evening, polar opposite to the experience two years ago Afternoon tea in the lounge is stomach stuffing. More-ish cakes and sandwiches and excellent tea. The stay was just what our money deserved. Thank you to the staff who have sorted out the calamity from earlier years. Stay here whilst expensive it’s worthy. "

"An absolute gem of a pub and experience from start to finish was the best we had in Scotland for sure. Property has a lot of history and it was exactly what I had pictured in my mind of a country Scottish inn. Fynes Ales a short drive away and was also brilliant. Best dinner we had in Scotland as well and you could tell all the staff care a lot about their inn and the people who visit. "
