"Really nice property, only reason I did not rate excellent for all is that they are on the tail end of renovating the property. The only negative is that the main doors are not locked and anyone can walk in, it appears they have it set up for key cards to be swiped to enter but during my stay, I never had to use as the doors were always unlocked an open, which I did not like.Other than that, it is a very nice place to stay and has great amenities available. "

"This hotel has it all. We drank our coffee on our balcony in the morning while watching dolphins play in the ocean right in front of us! There is shore access for walking the beach, great food options nearby including the OBX legendary duck donuts across the street, a crumbl cookie, fantastic bbq and pizza options with a Publix and Food Lion nearby for groceries and souvenir shops nearby as well. There are mini golf and adventure parks in the area too. This is a prime location with clean, updated and spacious rooms with great customer service at a reasonable price. A complete no brainer! Book this hotel! "

"I was able to sit on the balcony and see the sunrise and watch dolphins playing in the ocean. If we had an issue they were right there to take care off it. "

"Super clean, everywhere - in their facilities and in the rooms. Room obviously had newer flooring, furniture and fixtures, but the structure, hvac, and showers desperately need updating. Room had a musty smell, likely from the age of the building and the old hvac vents and piping. Thats really my only complaint. Beds and furniture were comfy, the amenities - their quality and abundance - were outstanding. Towels were actually soft, as was the toilet paper. Customer service was above and beyond. Really neat place, would stay again. Private back gate where you can drive straight to the beach and a hotel owned parking lot next to beach access. "

"My husband & stayed in a sound side room and view was amazing. The place was clean & folks were friendly. We saw a few does & a buck in the parking lot. Heater was a little noisy and bed was not as comfortable as we would prefer, but I definitely would stay here again."

"We very much enjoyed our stay with our pups. It was a spacious, clean home with all the necessary amenities and communication with the host was prompt. Location can’t be beat with the beach across the street. We had a wonderful time, and would highly recommend. "

"Our family of 4 enjoyed a quiet time in the outer banks at this lovely beach house. November isn't exactly the time most folks visit the beach, but we've spent most of our lives in the far north, so the "chilly weather" didn't prevent us from enjoying kayaking in the inner channels and viewing the sunset from the crow's nest. We found the kitchen very adequate; we were able to cook a lovely thanksgiving dinner and ate quite well the entire time. We packed all our needs/food for the weekend so we wouldn't have to make the drive back into town for anything. We did bring our bikes, but the soft sand proved too difficult for fun, so I would discourage anyone from bothering with hauling those out. The views from the deck were great and the glass doors allowed so much light in. The wild horses visited us directly on the property on our first night and on the morning of our departure. They were such an added bonus to the trip. The drive wasn't too difficult (in our 4x4 F150)- it's much easier if you can time your drive to be during low tide, however the on and off ramps to the beach are soft sandy dunes, so it can still get you into trouble if you stop in those areas. I really liked the remoteness of the property, my kids really enjoyed their own bedrooms, kayaks and the horses. My husband enjoyed the crow's nest the most, especially when our girls played their flute and clarinet at sunset. Overall, an excellent visit, my kids want to come out again when it's beach season!"
