"Very nice stay but don't think they should charge £15 for parking per day"

"The hotel is located on the main road into Windermere and has its own parking. Check in was fast and the receptionist was very helpful. I was a little disappointed as I didn’t realise that access to the pool with kids is only between 9am - 1pm so we had to move our plans around and take the kids the following morning. The room was fantastic, it was spotless and very spacious. It was nice and warm and included all the necessary essentials to make it a comfortable stay. The leisure centre is impeccably maintained and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Would highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to use again in the future. "

"Great hotel. Staff all lovely. Great cocktail Bar overlooking the lake which also does food. On site restaurant mizumi is excellent. Great atmosphere. It was nice to have an evening where we didn’t need to leave the hotel. The only points for improvement would be the bathroom could do with modernising and having a walk in shower and the superior room we had could have done with a set of drawers as we felt this was lacking. That being said we would definitely book again. We had a great visit "

"Friendly, attentive staff. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable room, with complementary gin. Enjoyed spending time in the spa. Used our Expedia reward in the bar, relaxing in front of the fire. A great birthday getaway. Just a shame that they feel the need to charge for parking. Would certainly recommend Rothay Garden and hope to return in the future."

"Excellent value for money. The inclusive breakfast was fantastic. Staff were really friendly. The location was great for the town centre and a lovely riverside walk just a few minutes away. Wi-fi worked really well and free parking at the rear of the hotel was much appreciated. "

"Large room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Food was nice but I was a bit surprised to find that the vegetarian main (possibly vegan, in fact) was more expensive than the meat options, even though the ingredients must have been much cheaper"
