Needed to be on the balcony to see the ocean being tucked in the corner at furtherest end of motels but weather was nice so we did get to use this. Well equipped kitchen. Beware of ants - bench covered in the time it took for us to eat our dinner. Luckily we brought all our food in a chilly bin so used that to keep our food in. "Convenient motel on edge of Kaikoura with easy access to restaurants & walks. Motel has been recently refurshed and the room & bathroom, which had a much appreciated spa bath, were spotless. Self laundry facilities excellent. No breakfast available but rooms had small kitchenettes with microwave, hob, fridge & utensils. As with most hotels/motels it is on a busy main road, but traffic was quiet during the night & ear plugs provide!"
