"We were very happy with our stay at this location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and we loved the small patio with chairs and table! The location was perfect, as you could walk to restaurants, shops, museums etc. The hop on / hop off bus begins right outside the hotel front door! We would definitely stay here in the future."

"We only had one night in The George before returning home but it was brilliant. We had a junior suite and it was perfect. Loads of space, super comfortable bed and super bathroom. We ate in the bar as there was staffing issues and no availability in the Bistro, however the food was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Location was good but with limited time to explore, we will head back to this hotel on return to Christchurch. The staff we great - friendly and did everything they could to help. "
