"I only had one night at The George, however, I was very pleased with everything. The location is great and a pleasant stroll to the shops, botanical gardens etc. a nice touch was the heated bathroom floor and towel rails which were switched on. I had dinner at Bistro 50 where the food and wine were excellent. Isla, the waitress was just lovely. Matt on reception also excellent "

"Brilliant place to stay with hosts Jackie & Steve providing a base to literally be right in the centre of Christchurch… the tram stops right out side The Classic Vilas. Large rooms and a well equipped bathroom. Dining for the large continental breakfast was in very pleasant surroundings and proper tea and coffee available all day and night. Crucially the bonus is that a bottle of port is out in the evening for when you come in. Extremely pleased we chose this place and would recommend a couple...
