The Townhouse Hotel
5/5 Excellent
"Very easy parking on the street and in dedicated carpark opposite the hotel. Immaculate public areas, stylish and understated. Professional smart and friendly service (very different from a nearby hotel experience the preceding few nights.) Our room was beautiful and well equipped with great views over the square and main street. Great mattress and pillows (so good we were hunting for the mattress brand on checking-out.) Breakfast: excellent quality. We don’t normally eat dinner in our hotel, there’s plenty of alternatives in Melrose, but we would choose dinner here when we return. The menu is great and well priced and the dining room is beautiful. A faultless stay in a family run establishment, a lot of pride in this boutique little hotel is evident. An absolute gem in the Borders (and we’ve stayed in a lot of places.) "
